New York Travel Guide

New York City

By the editors of Kaboose.com, with Margaret Soria

You will never forget your first trip to New York City.

The city that never sleeps is chock full of attractions to keep you busy and entertained. Take in a Broadway musical, a performance at Lincoln Center, or a Radio City Music Hall show. If you prefer more casual entertainment, there are numerous restaurants, jazz clubs, and bars that showcase the up and coming entertainers of tomorrow.

If art and history are more your thing, visit the following museums and galleries: the Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Museum of Natural History, Museum of Modern Art (MoMa), The Guggenheim Museum, and more. With exhibits changing annually, but sometimes on a monthly basis, you have an excuse to return.

Now, you cannot forget NYC as the shopping mecca that it is – tourists travel just to shop the deals and steals that this city has to offer. Head down to Chinatown for unique finds (and yummy food), or head uptown to visit the swanky boutiques that line Madison Avenue. Take in a ballgame, whether you are a Mets fan or a Yankees supporter, with the family after a day of sight-seeing, but don’t forget to try a NYC hot dog – it is a requirement.
