Discover mankind’s greatest adventure at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, the gateway to a working space center and one of Florida’s most popular destinations. It’s a 70-acre arena of inspirational, educational and entertaining experiences, including films, live shows, hands-on activities and behind-the-scenes tours. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is open every day of the year, except December 25 and certain launch days. Current operating hours are from 9 to 5:30. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is open from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission: $38 adult/$28 child (ages 3-11) includes tour of Kennedy Space Center, IMAX® space movies and all exhibits and shows. Also includes the Astronaut Hall of Fame and interactive space-flight simulators. Ticket valid for two days of admission (must be used within 7 days of first use). Admission not valid for shuttle launch days or on December 25th. The Visitor Complex is located just 45 minutes east of Orlando.

Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is an extraordinary blend of art, architecture, history and ecology. This 35 acre subtropical estate and historic house museum was designed by Frederic Clay Bartlett, a noted painter and art collector. Bonnet House is one of the few complete homes and studios of a recognized American artist. A nature trail walk taking approximately 10 to 30 minutes is available. The Visitor Center at Florida's Natural Growers offers educational exhibit of the history of the Florida Citrus Industry. A tour of the citrus groves and processing plant via an air-conditioned theater is also available. Free juice samples are available and new products are offered for sampling within the center. Tour groups are welcome year round. A gift shop is also found within the center where logoed merchandise and citrus themed gift items are available for purchase.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the House of Refuge, built in 1875, is Martin County's oldest building and once served as a refuge for shipwreck victims on our rocky coastline. The House is now a museum operated by the Historical Society of Martin County. Copies of shipwreck reports can be viewed at the house along with a pictorial history of its various incarnations. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am until 4:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm until 4:00pm.

The gracious Main House, built ca. 1840, restored to the 1920 era, has three-story mahogany stair, eight marble fireplaces, and oldest fresco ceilings in Florida, original furniture. 16-acre heirloom gardens are open to the public free of charge Monday - Saturday. The Riley House, built in 1890, is the last visible evidence of an African American owned community that thrived in downtown Tallahassee at the turn of the 20th century. The museum is a repository of African American history and archives from Reconstruction through the Civil Rights Movement. Open for tours Mon.-Fri., 10am-4pm, and some Saturdays. Pre-book large groups. Admission is $2 for adults, and $1 for children under 12.

Tallahassee's historic Knott House Museum is a time capsule, restored to its 1928 splendor. The Knott House is one of the oldest buildings-and the only house museum-in the state capital's Park Avenue Historic District. Our mission: to procure, restore and preserve the artifacts, history and values of the rural Florida Panhandle. The Settlement, located on 47 acres, has 16 buildings, dating from 1840 to 1940. They include:a general store/post office, four 19th century log homes, a church, an old jail, a country doctor's office, a 1880 two-room school, a farmstead and a dogtrot farm house. A blacksmith shop, grist mill and firehouse were built on-site.
