Saint George
St. George, Utah, is known as "Utah's Dixie" for its temperate climate. Warm weather year-round makes it an ideal setting for Utah golf courses—Saint George is home to 10 unique courses. Dixie College, the Green Valley Spa & Tennis Resort, and Virgin River walkway are also on the "must see" list for the region. As a main destination, or as a base for exploring a nearby ghost town or scenic Zion National Park, St. George has quickly become one of Utah's top travel destinations.
Salt Lake City
Salt Lake is Utah's capital city and serves as gateway to the state's renowned ski resorts, scenic national parks, and recreational areas. The city is set against the towering Wasatch Mountains, which are buried under deep, fluffy snow every winter. Salt Lake hosted the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and athletes and enthusiasts continue to flock here to enjoy world-class facilities and what is dubbed the "greatest snow on earth." Centrally located between Grand Circle National Parks to the south and Yellowstone/Grand Tetons to the north, Salt Lake makes a great base camp for outdoor recreation. Additionally, Salt Lake is a major regional business center and the world headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle choir. Visitors may tour Historic Temple Square, or attend a free concert by the choir. There is a lot to do in Salt Lake City.
Sundance/Provo
The BYU Cougars make their home in Provo, Utah, as does Sundance Village, the home of Robert Redford’s annual Sundance Film Festival. Other noteworthy attractions, businesses, and facilities in Utah County include Timpanogos Cave National Monument, the Novell headquarters, and Utah Valley State College (located in nearby Orem). This beautiful destination was made notorious by the mountain adventures of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The region is crowned by the stunning peaks of Mt. Timpanogos, which tower above the Provo Canyon and Provo River.
