San Francisco is often named among the great cities of the world, so it’s a surprise to discover how small the City by the Bay really is. If anything, its compact size makes it easier for families to navigate this gorgeous, albeit hilly, metropolis. What it lacks in terms of balmy weather (most of the sunshine goes to its sister cities in Southern California), it more than compensates for in terms of family-friendly fun and adventure.
