Cooking School of Aspen
What is it? Let’s say you have a family that loves to ski, but you’re interested in doing something a little different while you’re off the slopes. Welcome to the Cooking School of Aspen. Adults can take the gourmet classes offered by 60 different local chefs (remember, Aspen is a major foodie destination, too), but kids have their own “Kids in the Kitchen” classes. Talk about hands-on experience – the small fry don aprons, get some staff guidance, and make their own meals.
Don’t miss The kids’ classes are social events known for forging friendships among visiting families. And no two classes ever turn out exactly the same way!
Keep in mind This will give playing with their food a whole new meaning. Some classes fill up early, so register before your trip. “Kids in the Kitchen” is open to 6-to-13-year-olds (many more classes are open to older teens).
How much? The fees start at $75 for a three-hour class.
